This afternoon, we were at the city of Kutna Hora, where its center is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The main tourist attractions are the Cemetery Chapel with Ossuary, the early Gothic Cistercian monastery with the Church of the Assumption of our Lady, St. James Church and St. Barbara’s Cathedral.
At the Ossuary, there where the bones of about 40,000 people which were used to adorn the interior vaults, chandeliers, and walls of the chapel.
Looking at the bones piled up, one can’t help but ponder for a moment and be reminded about how life is fragile and temporary.

IF those bones could talk, they’d probably say, “What the….. How the heck did I become an ornament?” hehe
Beauty in Death.
Those looked beautiful, in a morbid kind of way. Hehe. I wish I could see this too.
wow, that’s a lot of bones! it kind of reminds me of oaxaca in mexico, wherein they used skulls as decoration for mayan temples. creepy but fun! 😉
