Even if it was late in the afternoon, we decided to go ahead to the Robinsons Place mall after I inquired on the phone about the newest prepaid wifi service offered by SmartBro. Despite the pricey fee (at P4500) for buying the kit, still it comes out for me as having more advantages in terms of cost and convenience than the monthly postpaid account. For one thing, we already have our fixed broadband access at home, so I don’t really need a monthly wifi access. I just need it when I am out somewhere especially when going on trips.

So this evening I brought my HP laptop along to the mall at Po’s Marketing and let the technical staff install the kit. It was a breeze and I got connected to the Internet in minutes. At last… No more going to internet cafés and logging in with a bit of paranoia about unsecure online transactions using public computers. Having my own wifi access will definitely help me with my online tasks and transactions when I will be in Manila next month. Thumbs up to Smart for providing us with this latest telecom product.
